Transcending the Concept of 'Books as Reading Material,' treating them purely as a type of material to be processed, and reshaping books into new forms. But can one truly perceive a 'book' devoid of its conceptual essence?
Having been taught to hold books in high regard since childhood, altering books was taboo to me, and the actual process proved far more agonizing than imagined. Overlaid with the pain of my own ideological shift, I drove a nail through a page in a Danish encyclopedia featuring an image of an atomic bomb explosion. On the previous page, I inflicted damage to depict the impact that a single bomb had on humankind (myself), leaving the subsequent pages untouched. Regardless of the impactful events that transpire in history, time progresses, daily life continues, and we persist in living on.
