This artwork focuses on the animals that once existed on Earth but became extinct due to the emergence of humankind. Many of these extinct animals were hunted to depletion, driven by their captivating beauty, inherent rarity, and exploitation for various purposes like medicinal use. The fact that witnessing the physical presence of these extinct creatures has become impossible imbues their existence with a special radiance within me. Although records of their existence remain, they seem almost like creatures of imagination.

This piece raises questions about the significance of humans in the realm of living beings, exploring themes of cruelty, beauty, and truthfulness.

かつて地球上に存在したが、人類(ヒト)の登場によって絶滅していった動物たちに焦点を当てた作品。
絶滅動物の多くは見た目の美しさ、元々の希少性、薬品などへの利用を理由に乱獲され、その姿を消した。絶滅動物たちの姿をこの目で見ることは既に不可能だという事実から、その存在は私の中で特別な輝きを持ち始めた。彼らの存在は記録として残されているが、まるで空想上の生物であるかのように感じる。
